With a new name, fresh design and clear strategy, the Leipzig Convention Network (LCN) is relaunching its brand to position itself as a modern collaborative presence for Leipzig’s congress and event industry. The company LTM GmbH serves as both the central point of contact and the representative voice for the network, which brings together around 50 partners. From now on, LTM’s Conventions Department will operate under the name Leipzig Convention Bureau (LCB). This now widely used international term makes the range of services immediately recognisable to the industry.

A user-friendly website, cross-media communication campaigns and a modern image will further strengthen Leipzig’s position as an attractive conference destination, simultaneously enhancing its visibility in the digital space.

Leipzig is among the most sought-after congress locations in Germany and Europe. In 2024, the city recorded nearly four million overnight stays – around half of which were attributable to business travellers. Conferences, trade fairs and congresses play a key role in this context.

Leipzig is particularly well positioned in the fields of medicine, life sciences such as biotechnology, the digital economy and green tech. With modern infrastructure, a compact layout and strong networks, the city offers ideal conditions for high-impact industry events.

From “Feel the spirit … do-it-at-leipzig.de” to the Leipzig Convention Network

For the past 25 years, the newly named Leipzig Convention Network has provided event planners with a unique network of around 50 partners for organising and delivering all types of events. It is characterised by close cooperation, strong team spirit, agile decision-making and high effectiveness. The network includes, alongside Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing GmbH and Leipziger Messe, a range of congress and event venues, conference hotels, service agencies and mobility providers.

Following a comprehensive brand relaunch, the Leipzig Convention Network now appears under a new, audience-focused name and with a modern visual identity that genuinely reflects the city’s contemporary image. The result is a strong collaborative presence that conveys professionalism, trust and added value – both for clients and potential partners.

The new brand identity was developed by the agency Heimrich & Hannot. In the coming months, it will be promoted through a cross-media campaign spanning print media, the website, newsletters, LinkedIn and online banners. The aim is to increase digital visibility and strengthen Leipzig’s position as a leading destination for conferences, congresses and events. This strategic repositioning gives the brand communication a fresh, modern and open character – in keeping with the city’s diversity and dynamism.

Volker Bremer, Managing Director of Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing GmbH, says: “The revamped brand identity reflects the needs of users. Conference organisers receive valuable information and decision-making support right from the first point of contact. At the same time, the strong emphasis on collaboration between the partners leaves a very positive impression on clients.”

The newly designed website – www.leipzig-convention.com – combines modern design with high user-friendliness, offering a clear and structured overview of all partners and their services in the conference and congress sector. Users can filter suitable services for every requirement using a variety of search criteria. They can also explore detailed room specifications and browse photo galleries. In addition to exploring the venues virtually, it is also possible to send booking enquiries directly. The offering is rounded off with direct contact details for the relevant partners and a personal shortlist feature. The blog and news section provide up-to-date information on local developments and MICE trends at Leipzig as a conference destination.

Leipzig as a conference destination at IMEX 2025

The brand identity effectively complements the Leipzig Convention Network’s marketing activities, including its annual presence at international trade fairs such as IMEX. The world’s largest trade fair for the international meetings, events and incentive travel industry will take place this year from 20 to 22 May in Frankfurt. The Leipzig Convention Bureau will also be represented at IMEX in 2025, where it will showcase the new brand identity. As an attractive conference destination, Leipzig will welcome trade visitors at stand G160 with impressive views and tasty treats from the region. Other members of the network will also be present, including the Congress Center Leipzig, the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig, Zoo Leipzig itself, the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig, The Westin Leipzig and the Leipzig Marriott Hotel.
